Overview of Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Central Kalahari Game Reserve is found within the middle of Botswana, an inland country in southern Africa. This giant reserve is situated within the heart of the Kalahari, about 200 km south of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The Central Kalahari Reserve is situated southwest of the Nxai pan and Makgadigadi pans national parks, both of which also are situated within the Kalahari region of Botswana. It covers about 52 800 km² making it the second-largest game reserve within the world.
