Parliament Gardens

One of Windhoek's most beautiful (and green) gardens lies at the base of the Tintenpalast, Namibia's Parliament Building in the city centre. The gardens themselves are now home to three statues of iconic figures who were instrumental in gaining Namibia's independence. Here, you can learn more about these important Namibians and the current political processes shaping modern-day Namibia.

Gibeon Meteorite

The Gibeon meteorite is a renowned meteorite discovered in the Gibeon area of Namibia. Due to its remarkable characteristics, it is one of the most famous meteorites and is highly sought after by collectors and scientists. The Gibeon meteorite is estimated to be over 4 billion years old, approximately the same age as the solar system. It is believed to originate from the asteroid belt located between Mars and Jupiter.
